I got one as a backup to my pinnacle 7mm. I've worn the 5mm neosport once and like it as its a lot cooler than the 7, but you don't float as well in it, unless you're like redlite and weigh 135 pounds.

It's not the bait

It's the fishing hole

You get what you pay for. The Neosport neoprene is not even close to the quality of the hyperstretch material bigfish mentioned. They're not comparable. I would not go with the Neosport at all but it might be ok as a back up as Back Beach mentioned. The line is marketed more to the occasional wetsuiter rather than someone who might be using theirs more than once or twice a week. They're just not durable. If you wear a neosport suit frequently the neoprene will show wear and get pilled up. It's actually a little uncomfortable and itchy when it's directly on your skin I'd be especially concerned about it's longevity given the kind of punishment we give them climbing on rocks. . I have a Neosport vest for extra warmth that I've had to start wearing over my suit instead of under it because it's so worn out. It's been ok for that purpose but I personally would not go that route.

You can't beat the new hyperstretch suits but I do think spending that much money is unecessary. If I needed a suit now I would probably go with this one. I have the farmer john in this style and it's fantastic. If you take some time to look I think you should also be able to beat this price. It's kind of splitting the difference between the neosport and the hyperstretch.
