What about Jindal? He may emerge as a player in the race for 2012.

Conservatism is not about leaving people behind. Conservatism is about empowering people to catch up, to give them tools at their disposal that make it possible for them to access all the hope, all the promise, all the opportunity that America offers. - Marco Rubio

I have not heard 1 pundit who realistically thinks he has a legit shot in 2012. You are seeing a NE bias. You think Kerry flip flops??? And who was the first version of "Obama Care" at a state level?
Romney will not carry a Repub ticket, I think even as Veep, he is done on the national scale...

so true...
he has also been moving himself into the puppetmaster position, instead of being the puppet..he will be a factor, but..behind the scenes.

i cant believe this country cant come up with anyone better to run it.
There is really no one that comes to mind.
if you got a Scott Brown, with 4-6 more years under his belt, I would be interested. He has that balance of military/family/everyman that I like. He'd need to prove himself on the international and economic stage.

Does Barack Obama want to be re-elected in 2012? - Telegraph
"His presidential bid had been based on the power of his life story and his ability with the spoken word. Doubtless he was as surprised as anyone else that he pulled it off. Governing has been altogether more difficult for him and there are signs he is already tiring of it. "
"Obama does not suffer for self doubt. He has long seemed so convinced of his own virtue that to question his motives is illogical. Increasingly, his pronouncements carry the tone of one who believes those who disagree are stupid or bigoted. "
