Congrats Roy. Sand tigers, huh? We caught one yesterday in Vineyard Sound and didn't know what type of shark it was. Will have to download pics from camera and post since it was a decent size fish (er shark).

Nice!!! Vineyard Sound has lots of them in the summer. I think they shadow schools of blue fish sometimes. I know the party boats see a good number of them on there bluefish night trips. Over the last few years we have seen a great increase in small Sand Tigers in Ma. Vineyard Sound, Duxbury, and Walliston Beach .............This is good since this shark isn't threaten by fishing, but because its slow reproduction. They do reach 10 feet and can weigh as much as 350lbs. The ones we get here in our water usually aren't over 5 feet. Tho I did see one about 7 feet long while diving the Target ship in Cape Cod Bay.
