Go, but stay on the mainland side. The winds will be either still from the NE, or from the NW, and strong. Like 30 kts. plus strong. It's blowing 20 SE now and the storm center is still south of LI. NWS still indicates an 80-90% chance of TS force winds in the Canal region overnight.

You won't have any boat traffic. Cape Cod Bay will still be churned up.

There may be weed--no one will really know until they go. And Scussett is gated and will likely remain gated until well after 6:30 tomorrow morning. East of the Sag or the west end would be your best bet in NE winds--outside of the two bridges. Mid-canal, NE is a cross wind. If it's NW you'd be good anywhere on the mainland side.
