Good thread idea!

Speaking for myself, when I don't find fish it is usually because....

I talked myself out of going.
I took the easy choice of chasing reports rather than figuring it out for myself.
I made the wrong choice of ignoring reports and trying to be too clever.
I under-estimated the weather and fished a spot that was unfishable.
I over-estimated the weather and passed on the spot I should have fished.
I put too much emphasis on the past rather than the present.
I forgot the past and got hung up in the present.
I was too stubborn on how I fished a spot.
I was too lazy on how I fished a spot.
I took someone fishing I REALLY wanted to catch fish.
I followed Sauerkraut's advice and went where he wanted to go.

Your forgot a couple.
1) you actually remembered to bring the camera.
2) someone asks you to actually bring home a fish...

how bout someone just drives an hour and a half, shows up at the door at 8 pm and wants to talk about their feelings, and then do the nasty all night and totally F's my fishing plans for the morning......

That happened LAST NIGHT, So i called the friend i deserted this morning and he told me he had to leave fish becuase his arms were too tired, he didnt want to catch em anymore.....

I'll go tomorrow, but get skunked......
