How long did it take you to get used to casting from a yak? or did you just troll the whole time?

Takes all of 2 minutes to get it......remember your not trying to cast 200 yards to the 2nd or 3rd bar.....your paddling out to it then casting 50 feet or so.

We trolled the whole time from the Hobies (drop the lure in the water w/ the bail open, let out approximately 20' of line as you peddled away). The folks on the Prowlers had to cast behind them slightly, put the rod in the rod holder, then start paddling.

Casting wouldn't be a problem from the Outbacks...very stable. I'm actually too light (roughly 135-140lbs) for one...my Outback listed to one side because I couldn't get the entire hull in the water most of the time. I even leaned over to turn better w/ Rick yelling at me to stop being crazy leaning like that
