if you're out catching, ALL the time,,,,,,,,,,,,
then who's putting out the fires in yer Town??
NICELY DONE, SHaven!! thanks for sharing the pix and the stories.
in the end, the tales we regale ourselves with serve to proffer our sport and fuel the desires of our Striper Dawns and Dreams. your voice is new, and encouraging, and we can never have toooooo much of THAT around here. besides, it's ALLways nice to hear when one of our "own" is catching!!
nevermind, bloo, he's a crusty old curmudgeon when he wants to be one!
and thank you for protecting the people with your Life,,,,,,,

I fight forest fires and travel around the Country doing so. Most times of the year I am busy as heck, from instructing at fire academys in AZ and CO, fighting fires and I am in charge of most of the Prescribed/Controlled burns here in the state (state forests, etc). The fall (Sept-Nov) are usually slow until December when Southern Cali. gets their Santa Ana's. This time of year I take most of my vacation and comp. time too fish and a few days to bow hunt.

awesome line of work~~~
and thank you for doing what you do!
the Santa Ana winds are no joke in SoCal. i used to live in Arcadia and worked in Temple City for a coupla summers. i've never seen anything quite like the San Gabriel Mts on fire at night ,,,,,,for nights on end,,,,, as you see it from the Foothills area just beneath them.
glad to see you maximizing your time off and racking up the pb's!!
you are on a roll, Fireman, and good luck on the antlered ones.
