There is no month of the year when you cannot catch a striper in RI waters.

Except for January and February , I have caught stripers in the Atlantic Ocean every month of the year in RI.

Many guys fish March to December.

Thanksgiving weekend can be a big weekend for large.

Some years the stripers are still biting at the Pork Chop and M after all the brussel sprouts are harvested on eastern LI.

I have seen a picture of a lady holding a 60+ pound striper caught in RI Dec 3rd.

the biggest Bluefish I ever caught in my life (over 23 pounds and plenty of them) were taken the last week in November along a wide open RI beach.

I have fished for stripers in RI waters when if I stuck my hands down my waders to warm them up , my balls were colder than my hands.
That's when its time to hang it up for the season.

"Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!"
