Good Luck to the misses. My dad had two of these done, the first one lasted 16years (21yrs ago) 8-10 more than expected. When that failed he didn't want to got though it again as he said the pain was unbearable for weeks. The doctor explained the new classes of drugs (ie. Ibuprophen and other anti-inflamitories would make the rehab a breeze. The doctor was right and my dad sailed right through with NO Pain at all. Hope this puts you at ease a little. Again good luck and MGH is the best in the world for this.
