Was is used in the salt or fresh? I need a motor for my new duck hunting canoe and this is right up my alley.

the motor was used in both salt and fresh but the motor was washed every time it came out of water i had it on a 14 ft boat and it made it fly through the water it would be perfect for a canoe.

the motor is a saltwater motor the guts are sealed from the salt guranted from the factory

I have a riptide and used it on my aluminum sportspal. Awesome motor.
