John, I don't know what to say because there really isn't anything to say. It sounds like you guys had a great relationship and that's something that you can always have with you. Truly sorry to hear about your loss John.

Very sorry for your lose John.

There is no way to be prepared for such a sudden tragedy. Share the lose with your mother and the rest of the family and friends. It will help you and all of them to voice your feelings to eachother.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I was looking at pictures two weeks ago of a trip to some of my family took to Ireland when I was 4-5 yrs old, 1973-74. There was a picture in the bunch of me and my Dad taking a ferry over the Shannon River. In the picture I'm looking at the camera, he's got his hand on my shoulder but he's looking at me, not the camera. I now know what he was thinking because I recognize the look on his face, it's the face I have on when I'm looking at my own son. He died in 1981 when i was 12. John, I say this because it sounds like you had an awesome relationship with your Dad. It's that relationship and those memories that will always keep him in your life. Once again, I'm sorry for your loss.

Sorry about your Dad.

As hard as it may be right now, try to take solace in the fact that you had a wonderful relationship with him.
