Molding plastics

I was able to make molds for soft plastics w/100% silicone. Believe it or not, the best stuff I have used is from Walmart at about $3 a tube. Build or find a small tray that is only slightly larger than the item you want to mold, (Red fin packaging works well) fill it with the silicone, add a small splash of tapwater, mix thoroughly and press your plastic into the silicone, make sure it's aligned and deep enough into the mold and wait about an hour. The stuff cures fast when you add the water. You can pour your plastics within hours of building the mold. Make sure you get 100% silicone. The stuff from GE does not work as well as Walmart brand. Hope this helps
