One of the most exciting sports moments for me was when I was attending UConn when the Men's and Women's teams won in the same year.
After leaving though, it's tough to get excited about team that typically wins games by 50 points or more.

So is a team, any team that is so dominant supposed to lower their standards to the level of the competition? The Pats surely don't have that philiosophy: it is up to the other team to stop them from scoring touchdowns even if the score is 50 - 3 at halftime!

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

Definitely not but I think his point is that it's not worth tuning in if you already know what the outcome will be. I think we all thinks it's an impressive accomplishment but still a waist of time to watch it happen.

Unfortunately, the bigger story might be who they eventually loose too, especially if it's a big game. After all, we wouldn’t be talking about the 1980 Miracle if the Russians weren’t so dominant.
The only time I personally follow women sports are during the Olympics (when it's on National TV). I have 2 young girls so I'm sure that will change soon enough.
