Mass Salt Water Angler Permit - Online

Massachusetts has implemented its recreational saltwater fishing permit as of January 1, 2011. This means that Massachusetts recreational salt water anglers no longer can use the NOAA Saltwater Angler Registry to fish in Massachusetts marine waters and/ or land fish in Massachusetts. The NOAA Salt Water Angler Permit is only for states that do not have NOAA approved saltwater angler recreational permits or licenses (currently NJ and HI and some U.S. territories).
A new electronic licensing system, MassFishHunt, has debuted online. Go to Department of Fish & Game - Licensing

No problem printing mine however here is what I did:

1. from website, print to adobe printer and save as pdf file.
2. from adobe/acrobat print the pdf file.

I did not send directly to printer since I wanted an electronic copy saved.

Yeah... Whenever I click on either of the "print document" license links I get the following error:

Quote:
Sorry, an error occurred while processing your request.
This problem has been logged in the system and will be corrected as soon as possible. If you have not yet completed your purchase click login to try again, if you have completed your purchase but did not receive your licenses, then log in and use License History / Reprint link to retrieve your licenses.
Looks like it won't launch adobe, and I can't right-click on the print link and save it as a PDF. Guess all I can do is carry around the print-out of my reciept

***What's odd is that adobe will launch when I go to print my receipt... But not for the license itself

You can also print out the application form and mail it in if you don't like the processing fee.

Did a little snooping, and I found a number to call. Talked to a nice lady who was most definitely not from Massachusetts. Apparently the problem lies in the "Line 2" address field... If there's anything in that box, the license won't print. Putting my apartment number into "Line 1" fixed the issue and I was able to print.

Good info for anyone who doesn't live in a house.

Thanks, here at work IE works fine but when I go home to actually renew, I would have used Chrome! Now I know to use IE.

There is a thread about this somewhere. I could not print mine either. I called and they fixed it. I had put both my physical address and my mailing address. They told me it will not work if there is an address on line 2. Don't know why it is not fixed by now.
