You might turn and weight some the same, but without flutes, then alternate while fishing them to see what effects the flutes have. It would be interesting to hear the result

indeed. I'm dubious as to what affect the flutes would have at the crawl that needles are usually fished at. |

Already got some non fluted but weighted the same in the works.
Was planning on doing the side to side comparison.
Last year I rotated between an ss, after hours and bm wad, was interesting to see how one would do over the other.
