Always a good time. IMO far better than any show or club meeting I have ever attended.
I agree 100% on the name tag thing. Good for when you meet new people , peoples wives etc but also good for guys you may hove known well but haven't seen in a few year. Over time people get gray hair or beer guts , etc.

Last year I made the Braised beef. I swear I made a ton and yet it all went almost immediately. I was surprised to be honest as it needed to be brought in using two big foil pans.
This year I may do beef again but maybe I'll feel ambitious and do something different. One of my favorites is Hot Turkey delight. Thats Roasted Turkey cut into chunks then simmered in its natural gravey. So moist and tasty. great for sandwiches or over rice or potatoes. I'll also admit that what's available at a reasonable price also has a hand in what I select. If Turkey is $3.29 a pound that week , Maybe I don't get it.
