Dave, I thought of wearing my river studs on roof but nixed the idea with the concern of shingle damage. I have to tell all the Wearbar studs is by far the best remedy to Korkers. I have used the combo for 3 seasons and they still look like new. I too added additional studs to sole 21. I used the 3/4" thread. They have a strong hold in felt and with added ss washers they keep the extra length from finding the bottom of your foot! Cabelas Guide boots. ultra lites weren't available w/ stud receivers at the time I started using wearbars. Slightly heavier than the ultra lights. All in all a win win combination.

I can't say enough about how great this combo is. Fact is, for the price you get two pairs of the Cabelas and have one studded with Wear Bars and one plain felt.
