Favorite Beer Style
I know I appreciate all different styles of beer, different times of the year I appreciate different styles. But if you could only have 1 style of beer what would it be? I know there are others but I tried to keep it to mostly the more popular ones and a couple of odd ball ones.
Feel free to include the name of your favorite brand in your favorye style too.....might get people to try something different.
Myself I'm a big Hophead and love IPA's....best on I ever had was at a place called the General Lafayette inn in Pennsylvania....but as far as a good store bought one I would probably have to go with Stone Brewing Co. Ruination IPA......follow that up with a Sierra Nevada Celebration...mmmmmmm

Since we can only pick one , mine is Porter and the brand is Michaelbrau--The Cats Meow! (my homebrewed Robust Porter) .
However , I do also like Pilsner, IPA, Brown Ale (love Newcastle Nut Brown) , Bock , Stout , Trappist....In fact from the choices list above , I like everything except the Wheat. Also there are many beers I like that are not listed Like fruit beers , spice beers , Lambics, American lagers, It seems like there is an endless list of beers I like!!

Tough to choose just one. I guess I'd have to go with an IPA.

Ice cold lager works for me to quench the thirst. Stouts are actually my favorite, but Ibcouldnt live without a lighter lager.

TDF, I gotta agree with you one the Stone, actually any IPA from Stone. But my favorite style is the Belgian ales. Besides the ones from monasteries in Belgium, the best ones are from Southampton Brewery. Drinking a Biere de Mars there as I type .

Im an IPA guy too. My fav's off the top of my head recently are, smuttynose IPA, and Wolavers Organic IPA.
But lately everytime I go to a bar and they have the Cape Cod Beer Beach Blonde Ale, I end up getting that. really well balanced beer, and it makes that muscle in your jaw tingle a bit I think they get a lil hop happy sometimes with their IPA and Red, but the blonde is real good

Belgian ales, quads at that. Followed by browns, stouts (imperials), and IPAs ( especially doubles) in that order most days. Preferences probably drift a bit depending on the season and the weather. I cried when I found out I could not attend the Belgian Beer fest this past year due to being out of town. Have to make up for it by doing two sessions at ACBF I guess.

I find quads to be too hot...stick with the double or triple.
Chimay Grande Reserve is pretty much the Mercedes S500 of beers.
For all around beer a good IPA is tough to beat.

I am liking the flying dog flying bitch. Matches my favorites, IPA and belgian. Some purists might not like it, but I definitely enjoy it.
