ice got hard again from the cold .....but you still need the plank to get safe ice.......btw ice perch fishing has been great .taste like fresh water haddock.......
Had a banner day today not far from my house. Most of the ponds in my area still have 15" or so of good ice. Easy to get around on too as the snow melted and re froze. Probably another 1-2 weeks left up this way. Good pre spawn bite happening right now.

ice fished yesterday.i got on the ice w/ my 8ft plank...BUT.....then took plank and layed it on next peice10x26 floating sheet ice, then did it again4 times total to get to the good?ice 4to6"..didnt go to far from shore,100yds but still fishing was good ,big yellows 12to15" and everything else too,no pics sorry...last day 4me maybe but still have ply county
