I agree, immediate overkill force should be applied. Ask questions after they are all dead. Obama is too cautious. Institute justice on the spot. Why is this so hard?

Maritime law regarding piracy USED to be a death sentence, then somewhere along the line the pirates were given civilian rights and trials.
They should be shot and sank right on the spot!
That would send the right message to all "would-be" pirates: It's a one-way trip with NO REWARDS!

I'm in total agreement the sentence for pirating should be immediate death but why is this the USN's policing action? In this case it was US citizen's but the bigger issue of Somali pirates is the problem......where's coalition forces shutting down Somalia? A blockade is not possible?Versus patrolling open waters looking for a needle in a haystack!  |
