I like the way you do the stylized head/gill area. Very effective.
Nice colors too.

I use waterbased, mostly createx, but the hobby store carries some cool metallics I like to thin down and use. whenever possible I use pearls, they really set a plug off in natural light.

Cool body shape, the eyes are awesome, and the paint work first rate.
The lips , however, look very fragile. Do they hold up? What are they made of?

Numbskull, the lips are not epoxied in yet, they are made of SS, I make them and they have held up quite well, and allow for tuning. I forget the gauge of SS, bit it's close to the gauge that the purchased lips are, not sure why the pics don't capture it well, could be the reflection and the finished edge?
