I didn't know that red blooded Republicans had their own entitlements.
Maybe I need to declare a party.
It really is that simple.
The only problem is every one wants the the other guy to make the sacrifices.
As Patriotic Americans we all need to make WW II like sacrifices and see this debacle through.

Tell that to the pols that passed the Bush tax cuts on both sides.
Post WWII, the tax rate on the top 1% was something like 90%, and they can't get these cuts to pass?

I think the point is that we've raised taxes to pay for wars several times and it doesn't seem to have killed us.

Flat tax everybody pays, everybody. Collected before the check is cut. The income from corporate taxes seems low considering the profits big oil and big finance report.
Stop getting into forever wars, there's a Trillion or seven right there. Recognize when it's over when you do go to war.
Stop paying non contributors. If you've never paid into unemployment or SS then I guess you've never worked.
Fix whatever the hell is wrong with our health system, it's a bottomless pit of waste and expense. I had a hook "removed" it actually fell out while the tried to cut it, last Spring . Lidocane, tetnus shot out the door for 1500 dollars! Not even a bandaid.
