John,

Though I have never met you it is great to hear you got out fishin'. Sounds like you have a good group of old scuppers there.
Hopefully I will make it over to one of your 4 leg Barbies. Until then I hope to post a good number for the next leg !

We are having similar beach shrinkage going on over here. If it isn't erosion it is the plovers. The biggest bummer of it all is the fact that seagulls account for more plover hatchling losses than vehicles. But vehiclular plovercide is definetly a tad bit more unnatural compared to a gull having a chick for dinner.
The only good thing about the beach access here is that the town has been VERY proactive in buying up and swapping land to save beach rights. And the land Bank director is a mad fisherman too !

Makes being a common man not so daunting when some affluent summerite can't stop you from parking at the public access point that abuts their "estate".

Ah the contentment of being one of the "little people".

Best of luck. I am heading out tonight for what should be the cracker of all evenings. Barometer around 30.00 and steady. A good ebb by 9:30pm and some moonlight so I don't have to light the torch for every release. I am bringing the camera for sure !
