Do you mean you tie a Bimini in your running line? And tie direct to the braid or are you maintaining a 14 ft double with the Bimini and leadering to that? Or is the 14 ft a reference to a boat? I have tried the Bimini in the surf but maintaining a 14 foot loop would drive me nuts I think

The Bimini is on my plugging rod. It's an 11ft ssu mh. It's probably more of a 20ft loop and a Bimini knot. At the end of my loop I do a offshore swivel knot with a breakaway fast link. I do the loop so I can cast off of 40lb test and still keep the line diameter as small as possible.
