Just got a new saltist 50 with a chaos 30-60 for micro jigging. Plan to load the reel with 80# power pro with a 50' 50# mono topshot. Can't wait to see what those little jigs do.
Brad and I also booked rooms at the Seabrook Best Western on Saturday and Sunday, for whoever stays there.
Later,
Rick

Just got the new rod ready/ Now to do up Rappin Mikey's old meat stick. I'm sure with a heavy jig on the new setup I'll go straight down. Hoping I can try out those 9 oz jigs, though!

What's a micro jig? Just considered micro because it's 9 oz?

i just talked to the captain and he said they are typically fishing around 200' of water but as deep as 360. for jigs they are using around 12 oz but with a moon tide this weekend plus some wind we may need a little heavier. for bait 16 oz is the way to go. see everyone this weekend

So we need to bring our own gear? Or is it chosing to use our own gear or crappy gear provided by the boat ?
Not sure I have much suitable but 'spose I convert something if needed.
I don't have jigs, etc (though I have a couple classic CRats from 10 years ago ) so what should I pick up?
