As owner of hull #118 for the past fourteen yrs ,I've found one would be hard pressed to find a better riding hull , and @ 5gph eighteen knts is fast enough !
If thoughts of a new boat arise I ask myself what will the new boat do that the Dyer won't !

Is your boat the former "OB" from Falmouth?
Refitted with a high end aluminum windshield?
He had a big GM diesel in it, does it still?
My father's boat burns more like 9 gph at 16Kts although I think the newer Dyers with lighter diesels do better.

It is the former " OB " Detroit diesel remains w/ low hrs .Upgrades include removing motor, change oil pan ,mounts, installed new transmission w/ trolling valve , air sep added, new fuel lines gauges , cabin sole , windshield , ect.

There's a Jones River MacKenzie around with a turbo 4. Talk about ultimate bass boat ever.
