Ever catch a Saber Tooth Striped Bass? Here's a picture.

You never know what the camera might capture. This photo was not altered beyond color correction, sizing and copyright.

That's a Pomatomus saxatilis frankin-fish.

Blue-bass hybrid. Will grow to 100lbs. and tolerate water temps from 40 - 80F.

NMFS is stocking them to fill the niche soon to be vacated by the striped bass.

That would make you think twice on a dark night even after you made sure it was'nt a blue.
I know I've had those times fishing alone when I just waded in, because..........

I caught a big blue a couple of years ago that had a gill plate like a bass and stripes like a bass. Intermingling of the species is scientifically impossible from what I understand but it made me wonder. Crushed a needle and kind of through me for a loop at the time. That is pretty wild looking though.

It is impossible. Not only are they a different genus, but their spawning areas don't overlap. Bluefish are pelagic and spawn offshore. Bass are anadromous and spawn in fresh water/brackish rivers.

Tiger fish are native to Africa.
