Boston Harbor Boat report!!! - Striper Talk Striped Bass Fishing, Surfcasting, Boating

Went out 4:00 am to 6:30 pm Sunday for a little boat fishing. Got into some live macks and Herring. Hit spots over by the airport and outside by the graves and Pt Allerton. We got 5 keepers that day. Biggest was 33 1/2 inches. Not quite what we were looking for but was good to get into a little better size anyway. Fish were pretty finnicky!!!! All fish were caught on the herring. None touched the mackeral, thats pretty bad. We are fishing the boat tournament this weekend for MSBA, hope to see some of you out there!!!!

JohnR, the board still seems very slow for me, is it on my end or the board!!! I think I am definately in for your tounament, but BC may have a problem as he needs some days this weekend also. I will know closer to the time. Won't be at the meeting on Thurday, unless we get there late.

GS Nice bass the other day, was a beauty!!!

Doing some shore fishing and boat fishing in the next couple of days will let everyone know whats going on!!!! Hope you all had a good weekend.

Hey Saltheart, I think I will be coming for sure, but will have to see if BC can get a little summer flu!!!! He works every Saturday so it is hard for him to get that day off as that is one of there busiest days. But I am ready, unless we end up with clients I am up for a round of new territory to wet a line and looking forward to hooking up with the gang!!!

fisherwoman, could you give me an idea where to find the herring and or mackeral in boston harbor and the best way to catch them for live bait use?

Mr-K, B-Bouy is usually a good spot but I haven't been out this year... You fishing the MSBA Tourney this weekend??

John, unfortunately i will not be in the tournament. i have been traveling for the last month and just got back from California yesterday and noticed the deadline for the tournament was last night. I will be going out one day this weekend though hopefully i will be able to find something that swims. good luck to all board members entered in the tournament.
