I guess tapping the federal oil reserves either didn't work, or wasn't done soon enough to lower fuel prices to where people would choose between boating for the weekend or eating for the month?

I wouldn't complain, because the next time you head out, you'll probably be elbow to arsehole with every boater in the tri-state area.

I relish the times when the boat traffic is light to non-existent, because it mean any fish you encounter won't be spooked by the power boaters and jetskiers that you will undoubtedlt come across on ANY body of water.

I was kayaking on Winnipesaukee yesterday morning.
Hit the lake at 5:30 am and left around 9:00 when the steady parade of party-boaters started arriving.
It was a beautiful morning and I did get a couple of fish too!
