I think it's a brilliant move. Less regulation, sell them where you build them, labor cost low. Don't blame Ford. They won't be shipping them here. I would stop buying Ford if they did.

Heck, they didn't take any "bailout money" from the government, so they can do what they want, and as stated prior....They won't be shipping them HERE.

Heck, now instead of saying "Buy American" Ford can say "Sell American".

Where are they going to sell them? Indians can't afford cars.

Didn't Ice Road Truckers do a show in India? They have zero rules for the road. It was funny as hell. Car's smashing into each other everywhere.

Automotive industry in India - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

one of the hottest markets out there...

Ford is just doing what they did a few years back in Brazil...another hot market for new, small vehicles, and a govt. willing to work WITH a large employer...

bet the facility in India is similar to this one...and the cars will be made for the specific market, they will not be US models.

just plain smart business, in the global economy... lot of US bucks went to nations like Brazil and India, and they are smart enough to chase them....plus, no govt. or union dictating how they will do business... no health care insurance choker... all dollars and cents (sense)
