on top of that, the captain can say that the ship has been "completely washed" from top to bottom (and possibly everything in between)!

That is incredible photography. It is a wonder if no one was killed or injured.

It sounds as though the captain made a hell of an effort to minimalize the damage. I wonder how the bridge made out ?
