Assuming I'm not traveling, I'd definately be in and I'd want someone who can show me what the F**K I'm doing wrong. I was out Saturday in Buzz. Bay, had some fun with Albies and then anchored up to feed the tog some crabs. That's exactly what I did, just fed them one after the other, off jigs, off high low, off anything I threw until the short supply was gone. Switched over to my 4" split tail on a 3/8oz Kalin jig head in olive and don't I catch a nice fat tog and 10 black sea bass without moving. Probably drew in some fish with all the crab chum. It was fun fishing in 15 feet, I'll have to bring one of my fly fishing clients out with a sinking weight 6-7 weight, I would think those blackies would fall for a similar quartering, drift and twitch retrieve.

I might be in, I have never fished that area or for Tog in general so I need a remedial course. Where would we launch from and whats the gear required? I was thinking either a japaneese style jig stick and or a classic e glass bait/eel rod that I really like. Hi Low rigs with bank sinkers add crabs and go at it?

the plan is to lauch out of fairhaven and any light/med duty bass setup will do. tog can be frustrating but once you get the hang of it they are easy pickings. for teminal stuff i use a 5' leader of 40-50# flouro w/ a basic 2 hook tog rig w/ both baits on the bottom. a few tips - moving water is best, don't bounce the sinker, seems the more guys on the boat fishing the better the bite is - kind of like chumming i guess, wait for the bigger bump and get them out quick. so much fun to catch - rockpile bluefish

my 1st wife didn't like me fishing so much
