Cape Ann Inshore Action??
I read a report of a significant surface fee off of Wingaersheek Beach today (Oct. 18), and of one around the Endicott College (Beverly) area. Has anyone else read or (better yet) witnessed the same thing?? (I still have the boat in the H2O, and am trying decide whether or not to run up to the cape and take another chance, hoping to avoid the frustration and wasted gas of doing so for naught, unlike last week!) Any intel. would be much appreciated; thanks.

its not that late for up there, should still be fish around, but hit or miss. if your looking for daytime blitzing fish, its very hit or miss. reports don't mean much this time of year as things change fast, chasing them will likely lead to frustration.

Really??? I thought I was seeing things...
I got phone reports about those blitzes around noon yesterday. Dinks from local surf locally this morning, not blitzes. Saw macks being livelined from a boat oceanside getting a few up to 21# this morning as well. They are around... don't need to depend on a blitz to catch.

Between work, driving the kids around, and their football, there's just very little time to fish this time of year, generally not enough to spend jigging for macks before moving on to let 'em swim, vs. fishing a blitz. Of course, it's not exaclty time efficient to wander around looking for blitzes, either; thus the post! ...point well taken, though, re the inconsistency of surface feeds, but knowing that they're at least still around is a significant data point. Of course, it looks like starting midday today, Cape Ann is switching back to damn big water mode!
The intel. is much appreciated; keep it coming, by all means, and I of course will report whatever I see if I venture out.
