What date should we have plugfest? 2012
So when should we have the next plugfest?
I'd like to not have it on days of other events like NJ surf day, etc.
any suggestions? also please help us make a list of when other events are so more people will be able to come.
thanks
last couple of years I think we had it second Sat. of Feb.

Are there any conflicts with having the next Plugfest on March 3rd?
It is also eelskimmer's birthday so we can wish him a happy birthday if he's there too.
I will check into hall availability.

March 3rd sounds good... spring will be just around the corner and it gives plenty of build time prior to the event. Hopefully we will get a snow free weekend.

March 3 is good for CSA members. Fish show in Ct on Feb 18. I hope to bring a bunch of broken maple baseball bat peices for those who want some. FREE

March 4 is the Berkeley Flea Market. We have some out of staters that come to Plugfest so might want to keep them in mind.

Is it going to be in the same place or New Jersey??? You won't need a passport in Bourne.

It has been on a Saturday since inception, sorry Skippy
there are only so many weekends to choose from, there's always something else going on someplace.
I will talk to johnR and make a decision

I checked out the Elks hall in Wareham today and they have a LARGE space, much more room to spread out.
I think if we can be out of there by 3-3:30 all cleaned up the way we found it, then we may get it for $400, they usually charge 600 if you go much more than 4 hours but as long as we don't interfere with an evening rental, we may get it cheaper.
I'm not sure if it will be 5 bucks to get in still since the other hall is cheaper but if we get 150 people then it should work out fine to cover expenses. Seniors should still be free.
I think this hall will give us more room to display stuff and not be crowded like it seemed last year.
They have a kitchen and can open it up for Bingo food = chix fingers, burgers, dogs from 11 to 2 maybe, so that is convenient.
plenty of parking too
both places have March 3rd open.
any opinions?

I'd be willing to pay $10 to have a bigger hall with more space...where else can you have that much entertainment for short money...

A bigger hall sounds like a good idea to me. I don't think cost is an issue for most who attend. Maybe have a few more "How to" demo's?
