My first Weasel Plugs
This is my first go at building Weasel plugs.. I wanted the option of both surface use and some shallow diving so I added some belly wt and a lip that can be tuned for diving with a faster retrieve.
Olive silver has one .25oz belly and the larger second one carries 2 .25oz bellys.
The fatter one has a max diameter of 1.45. Love the chunky plugs...
I believe the original Weasels did not carry any wt
made with red cedar ... added some concavity to the tail because I like the look...
about 6.5 to 6.75 inches long...

Neat touch with the tail.
Gotta change your mind about chunky plugs, however.

I finished up the second Weasel this week and snapped a few pictures including a float test picture in my "Magic Pasta Pot" Anyone read Tommy DiPaola books to their kids....
Very happy with the slightly nose down float of both plugs.. on slow retrieve the tail will make a surface commotion and on faster retrieve it will dive
Done building plugs for a while ... need to make some furniture and turn some bowls for a Dec church fundraiser
