What's with your avatar?

I recently changed my avatar after two years, and a couple queries have come in asking what the hell is that?

It is a 1893 photo of Marblehead fishermen having their lunch on Misery Island. Came off our local MarbleheadPatchdotcom site. Thought it was cool seeing the bottles of Moxie, oilskins, and the sou'wester hats I still prefer in foul weather.
So what's behind your avatar? They are small so we can't see them in detail, and there are some I would like to "study".... So attach them so we can see them

Mine is a great day with my son back when there was fish in the canal for that one day. Nothing better than seeing him catch.

Mine is me battling a large mola. It was actually hooked in the corner of the jaw while trolling tubes at Scorton last year.

They can definitely put up a fight. I burned my thumb on the spool at one point.

My avatar is my favorite graded color sand eel teaser. Its about 4 inches long and I tie it about 3 feet above a plug as a dropper. That graded one plus the high contrast black over white can cover most conditions of water , time of day , etc. They also work when small bunker are around. I tie them myself.

I like the "I beat anorexia" one .

The fat guy in the boat reminds me of a picture someone posted here of a boat they built with them in it. He's not fat but is big and the boat was riding very "bow high" as in your picture. I won't name names but I think he'll know who I mean.

Mine is obviously a picture of me. It was taken on my first deployment in a field we were living in at the time.
The sun was setting and the sky looked incredible. Someone talked me into getting my picture taken and it is one of the best ones I have.

Mine is a picture of my son, Alex when he was 12 wading out on the flats at Old Saybrook Town beach. There was a newspaper reporter there doing a story on Surfcasting and this picture made the local paper.

The 3 strong beer sign: got it from Chef Chris and a little Paint Shopping corrected the pub name.
