Up around here it is chuming. Cape Ann; Ipswich Bay Etc: isn't like down the Cape we have plenty of bait fish We chunk fish when the live bait fish are not here. Down the Cape they are basically lure fishermen or surfcasters. You are not going to catch many fish with lures especially when 99% of the guys are fishing chunks. The stripers are keying on the chunk fishing. it is the same way with Tuna fishing up here, when the chunk fishing starts the trolling is over.
