Facebook sucks. All social media sites suck. As an IT professional I can tell you that they use every bit of information you put out there. All social media sites are parasites.
This should draw some neat comments.

Wear double condoms. This is the untold item that most people don't think about, everything you do online can be tracked, cataloged and resold.
I use Ghostery, even on this site, there are 7 cookies that collect info on what I do

striperman36, if only they knew how much info is being collected and tracked. Given the right tools and enough time I can tell where someone has been, how often, what they said, did etc. The IP bounces they took and where it ended up.
And I don't care what you think you deleted, you in fact didn't.
Once when I was with a company that was doing forensics for a couple of government agencies, we tracked some bad actors who did 30 or 35 (I forget) bounces all over the planet. Originated in Indonesia and we finally tracked them to a BOT server in Remo NV.

Totally in agreement. the penetration testing team we have at work are pretty scary people.
