You can now be arrested and held without a lawyer...nice. Another failed law. Anyone should be allowed to defend themselves in a court. Now the military has precedence for operating inside our borders...

This is the most massive assault on American Constitutional rights - ever. I cannot believe that Congress is supporting this. Its a crime. If Obama signs this he is the biggest hypocrite of all time. The bill is not his fault, but it IS his fault if he signs it. This bill is getting no media attention. Its a disgrace.
Obama is the one who championed rights for terrorist trials, close Guantanamo and now this law allows imprisonment of US Cititzens INDEFINITELY!!!
Both conservative and Libs should be fuming at this

Obama has consistently been a disgrace when it comes to decisions based on civil liberties - support for extending (and broadening the scope of) the Patriot Act, bringing the DEA hammer down on Medical Marijuana in California, expansion of domestic surveillance, the list goes on. |
