I have the harbor freight one. It works good for small stuff and when you add in shipping its roughly $20....

I think the one at walmart is slightly larger and would be better for larger stuff because of the size of the actual surface to put items like long needlefish and big pikies...

Frank I realize you already ordered one this is for the lurkers et all.
I would recommend a scale that goes down to at least .00 ounce. Using one that is just tenths gets you in the ballpark but could be almost an ounce out and you wouldn't know it and wonder why that plug is not like the others. I own 2 scales because of this. the 1st one I got is the pelouze sp5, bigger weights up to 5 lbs but only goes to .0 this prompted me to get another that goes to .00 and its frm Hbr Freight Cent-Tech 93543 on sale for $9. If you have to order they often have free shipping coupons and it seems accurate.

Manipulating a piece of wood to swim/glide or do whatever you want it to has little room for inaccuracy if you consider what the wood weights and how much weight you are adding to it.
