Good old fashioned spud gun would be more versatile.

At one point, probably 10 years ago now, I saw something like that used in Hatteras. For awhile back then, I thought when people talked about a Breakaway cannon, it was one of those.

Rigs like that were popular in the Great Lakes. They would use it with trot lines and multiple hooks.

If it could get out 200 yards or so, that'd be perfect for the Race. Except some rent-a-cop ranger would probably arrest you on weapons charges.

Geez, can't believe that guy is still in business.
Nice young guy from Pa. and saw him use it 6-7 yrs ago.
Think i posted some pics here?
It works awesome but you need to freeze the bait so it doesn't
fall apart and then wait for it to thaw after it's launched.
Great in November when the fish are breaking way out beyond the bars.
$800, I think the price was about $600 then.

I see he has a testimonial on his site by a guy from Australia.
I could see Stax and some of his buddies using it to fish off
those cliffs.
Man, I miss not having those guys post here in awhile.
Great guys.

think of the possibilities, i mean never again will a boat come in where the fish are near shore, pyramid sinkers would be down right lethal, flying out of that thing.
