nice looking stuff Chris.. most of my stuff is done by "ratio math".. it's not a bad way yo go!..... i feel my way along and do trial and error...I build for funtionality.. so being exact doesnt matter to me.. as long as it works..and fills the niche.

I use birch on my Conrads and slope heads.. you right.. they swim deep.. you have to watch the weighting or you get sinkers after you epoxy.. dont ask me how I know this

A good run is better than a bad stand!

here is my take on the Pichney sand eel swimmer... 7" long 1 1/16 thick at the max diameter, Lefty 1 lip, ctr balance 11gram belly wt, lip slot @ CL or 1/16 above, no tail wt

I made a bunch of those last year both straight and jointed.... they were such a great plug i made a bunch more this year.....

A good run is better than a bad stand!
