				 | Look into sales. Ive been in sales for 7 years. doesnt matter if you believe in the product or not, youor a salesman..sell it. Lots of free time, expense account. I actually take customer fishing and expense the gas and bait. Just took 4 customers up to Loon Mtn skiing and expensed the whole thing. Cant beat that. If you make your numbers no one bothers you. If you dont make your numbers thats a different story. some people cant handle the pressure. And its up to you how much money you can make. |

Took time out to fish when the runs were on. In fact there was a running joke at Murats for years that Dave Hammock could tell when the Fall run started because I would quit my job. Hell, I could always find someone to hire me for straight commission and I am an ABC person. ABC for you non-sales folks is Always Be Closing!! |

				 | Sales is great but you need to be doing the right kind of sales for your personality.
That being said, rent Glengary Glenn Ross. It will teach you everything you need to know

				 | Do the healthcare but keep the kitchen. I manage a kitchen (Nutrition Service Department) in a LTC facility, have a staff of 25 under me and only hafta actually cook when someone is out sick. Work my hours around the tides too. Not getting rich but decent benifits and no nights.... |

				 | It sounds like you might be at somewhat of a crossroad as far as deciding what career path you want to take. I would recommend getting a copy of "What Color Is Your Parachute?" It's a pretty good guide for people in your position. It has exercises that, if you follow them honestly, will show you what it is you want to do, or rather what it is you'd like to do. I think they update it every year now. |

				 | So I just applied at CCRI . Going to try to get back in the groove for the fall with a few courses over the summer . I'm sure I will need some remedial courses , seeing I haven't been in school since '97 , ehhhh. Hopefully over the summer I can find what direction I want to go .
Don't think Id be much of a salesman , unless I could find something that really interested me .

Westport , thanks , but not sure if I can push paper for 40 hours

I thought about healthcare cooking , but I want out !

Jimbo , def at a crossroads , with no firm direction yet ... Book sounds good , gonna order it up today .

I really appreciate everyone's input . Thanks! Any other advice is greatly appreciated !

Going back to school scares the hell outta me , but not as much as cooking for the rest of my life !

Conservatism is not about leaving people behind. Conservatism is about empowering people to catch up, to give them tools at their disposal that make it possible for them to access all the hope, all the promise, all the opportunity that America offers. - Marco Rubio

				 | More appropriately, what do you WANT to do? Figure that out, then go to school.
Mortgage biz could be awesome, but then you could be miserable doing it. Even for 20 hours a week.

Mgt has its ups and down, hiring people sucks, firing people is ok. |
