Got into some holdovers yesterday. The one decent fish I had (probably @ 20#) broke me off on an exposed rock, that usually is a bout 6 feet under this time of year. Took me for a 20$ pencil.

Mikey, there won't be any run off from snow melt. for the first time in all my years here in VT,there is abosultly no snow left on the ground.not even the piles that are made by the snow plows, that will usually last into may. Sugarbush,my local ski area is down to a couple of trails for probably the last weekend of the year.that would be almost 6 weeks earlier than normal.looks like i will be heading to the cape sooner than i want.just hope the fish arrive sooner.
