Politics is broken: Our politics(politicians) are a perfect refelction of us
it's convenient to blame the system but as it was set up it's a pretty good system, we entrust and send people of questionable character and intentions to participate in the system, often to satisfy our own agenda with little regard to their character and then wonder why it has been corrupted. Politicians engage in coruption and usurp power never intended for them to wield because we allow it and we make excuses for them if their transgressions happen to promote our world view. we now ask if the system should accomodate contemporary whims rather than if our contemporary whims are valid within the constraints of the system. the system is being corrupted and it's checks and balances are constantly being diluted and eroded...intentionally...and with approval in many instances
we only have ourselves to blame...or congratulate
