Braid makes a tiny jig or drill a hole in a quarter.
The advantage of the hook on the top is when your fighting the fish the jig is just dangling out of the way. You're connected from the line, to the solid ring, right to the hook.
The other way your connected thru the jig which can fall appart or the fish can wriggle it around using the weight of the jig like a swinging lever Posted from my iPhone/Mobile device
ProBass under there own name had them down to about an 1/2 ounce in size a few years ago, don't know if they still have them? I bought a bunch like your thinking for the sweetwater.
i picked some up on ebay, not sure of weight, they were 2 inches long, i used them for tinker macks at the dock. they didn't work to good, tangled on line every time
