Tiger Maple Standing Deskette = Custom Century Surf Rod
This is my second fishing gear barter that is a win-win for my BIL and I.
I made him this Tiger Maple standing deskette to help him be more comfortable working at his desk job ... he can alternate between sitting and standing over the course of a long day working on his computer, talking on the phone, and writing stuff on a paper pad.
For payment he is buying me a custom rod made by Mike Thomas with the century SlingShot blank ... about a $400 custom rod with nice Fuji reel seat and Fuji Guides... I think its a great deal for both of us.

I am a big fan of Tiger Maple needles with a white belly... here is one i made a few weeks ago with the same batch of wood |

sweet! Great deal for him for sure. Our tiger maple bed was a wedding gift custom made by a family friend. Stuff is pretty stunning wood.
