I bet he took that sharp turn too fast and beached his boat. People rip down that river on a plane to avoid running aground

Which sharp turn - where are you getting your info? I keep my boat at Middlebridge...you really have to know what you're doing on the river if you are going to go fast...

I was out there one night a couple of summers ago down towards the Dunes Club area - pitch black. I could hear a boat screaming towards us from up-river. All of a sudden - BAM - and the outboard is now LOUD full throttle and clearly out of the water. Guy had run right into the bank just after that last rock outcropping before the dock closest to Dunes Club area and jumped his boat up on land! Luckily somehow no one was hurt.

It's gotten so crowded down there with kayaks and boats these days, it's almost not worth it during the big vacation weeks in the summer...hope the boater is OK!

I drove across sprague bridge a few minutes ago and could see a bayliner type boat ( navy blue ) from the bridge.. It was up on the bank by the tennis courts behind the dunes club. I said i was right only because of what I saw.. And coincidently, i used to keep my Mako 19 at middlebridge too... its a tricky river to navigate for sure.. A mako 19 anywhere around low tide... forget about it....

Thanks for the update! So the "last" sharp turn...trying to think...I know most of the regular boats on the river by sight, and I can't think of a navy-blue Bayliner-type hull off-hand. Perhaps a "visitor"...
