Where we were fishing and using eels...if u don't catch like this..sell ur fishing stuff..lol..every time we've been out for the past few months it has held big fish plenty well over forty.and Im sure a few fiftys (just not for me) but like i always say...boat fish don't count...its to easy:-P next month hopefully ill see her twin sister in the surf in my local haunts,but i would release her because Im not carrying her for 20 min..lol...sorry for such a long response but blame
Sams Oct for coming out so early this year..

I am down for throwing some congers in sept and oct I barely want to carry myself out to some of those spots. Never mind an extra 30 or 40 pounds

Paulie ,don't you remember we stopped floating fish on a stringer when we started fishing the clay banks with Lanny.We came up with the idea of using black heavy duty black commercial garbage bags,double them up ,put hole in corner.put rope through,tie to fish.put bag over fish ,slides on sand like ice.You must getting old.
