I release all my LMB and most of my stripers too. My car is just a few yards from where I cast. I showed one my buddies from work the pic in front of the Jeep today, he asked why I was keeping a Large Mouth, and I had to explain the whole story. I was like, look at the flexed dorsal fin dude. That thing has been out of the water for like 10 seconds and 2 pics. The only thing that is bad that I do is lay em down in the sand for a sec. I know it is bad for their slime.

A good run is better than a bad stand!

I certainly didn't time it, and Joe can correct me if I'm wrong, but the first run had to be a solid 30 seconds. We wondered if my drag had loosened. It has not been the typical fight, only one other fish has done that this season. And it was another close one.
